Be Part of New England Music History

The Fallout Shelter - 61 Endicott Street, Norwood, MA, 02062

The legendary Johnny Hoy and The Bluefish are recording a LIVE Album Retrospective over two nights at The Fallout Shelter...this will be our 7th LIVE Album released from The Fallout Shelter and we couldn't be more STOKED!! Night 1 of a Two Night Retrospective look back at the long history of this magnificent New England Treasure!!!

"We’ve been playing music regionally, nationally, and internationally, including trips to Switzerland, Norway, and South Africa for over 30 years. Rooted deeply in the blues, we have a distinctive sound comprising rock n’ roll, New Orleans, some Country, funk: our own mix. The current iteration of the band includes Johnny Hoy, fisherman, stone mason, harp player, singer; the fiery 25 year old guitarist, Delanie Pickering. She is a double threat as a fantastic singer to complement Johnny’s great voice; Jeremy Berlin, keyboard, playing the bass with his left hand, and Cam Igo, 18 year old prodigy from the South Shore with a Big Beat"

Johnny Hoy juggles a full life where he takes advantage of his many skills including stone masonry, fishing, antique dealing, farming. Somehow he manages to do all the gigs as well. He came to the Island in 1978, after soaking up Muddy Waters’ and Tom Waits’ shows as a teenager.

Jeremy Berlin, the piano player, has been with the band for most of its life — since the summer of '93. He's played duets with President
Clinton, and Carly Simon — he's not afraid of anything, and he plays it all. Jeremy's connection with the Island started before he was born and
he's been there on and off ever since.

Delanie Pickering, guitarist, showed up on the Island in 2017 from New Hampshire. She didn’t tell anyone she played music, and quietly checked out the scene until she was ready. Then it was all over: everyone wanted her, and The Bluefish have her! Audiences love her, and her energy has given a new life to the band. And she sings!
