THE DARRELL NULISCH BAND
AN ALL-STAR BLUES QUINTET LIKE NO OTHER!
The Fallout Shelter - 61 Endicott Street, Norwood, MA, 02062
Darrell Nulisch is one of the region...and, frankly, the countries best "blue-eyed" soul and blues voices. He was born and raised in Dallas, TX listening to the sounds of Otis Redding and Al Green which obviously rubbed off him. He was a founding member of Anson Funderberg and The Rockets which became the precursor to the explosion of Texas Blues with the Fabulous Thunderbirds, Stevie Ray Vaughan etc... Nulisch went North to New England and landed the gig as vocalist for Ronnie Earl and The Broadcasters and then as vocalist for the legendary James Cotton. Oh, and did I mention Darrell Nulisch is one BADASS harmonica player? He hasn't been to The Fallout Shelter in many years but we did manage to find an archived performance of "Cry A Million Tears" from a 2015 visit to The Fallout Shelter with Anthony Geraci and Monster Mike Welch.
So this is blues...and soul...the way blues and soul was meant to be played and meant to be heard. Get a GREAT singer and harp master, then put together four of the best blues musicians in the entire region to back him up and you have a night of blues music you won't forget anytime soon.
