Last January we hosted the very first incarnation of the Boston Soul Collective as they recreated the monumental 1971 album Donnie Hathaway - Live at The Bitter End. Their performance and accuracy in recreating that pivotal recording that night was simply EPIC! The Boston Soul Collective is the brainchild of Ryan Taylor, Jesse Williams and Nephrok (Nepthaliem McCrary) but has a revolving list of other players that join the ensemble when needed to pull off specific layers of music. The second iteration of the Boston Soul Collective will pay homage to the songs of SLY AND THE FAMILY STONE with set one featuring some deep tracks and set two blasting out all the hits like "Thank You (Faletinme Be Mice Elf Again)", "I Want To Take You Higher", "Family Affair", "Hot Fun In The Summertime", "Everyday People" and SO MANY MORE. Sly and The Family Stone appeared at Woodstock in 1969 and were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1993. The Boston Soul Collective is an all-star ensemble that's going to nail this music...this is going to be another EPIC night of soul-funk-rock bliss!!
