An outstanding live band, THE CINELLI BROTHERS band thrills audiences with high energy performances, four-part vocals, superb musicianship (and frequent instrument-swapping), charisma, humor and palpable joy in playing. The band’s roots are in the blues, as to which they have enormous knowledge and reverence (one of their original songs is called “Grandchildren of the Blues”) and the soul and rock music of the 60s and 70s. Their original material is an innovative mix of blues, funk, soul, rock and roll and other genres that together produce a wonderful stew that folks are calling “New Blues.” The band’s sets, which are different at each show, feature primarily original material, some blues standards, which they play with an excitement and vitality that is distinctive in today’s blues scene, and occasional rock and soul covers. Recent covers include Ry Cooder ("The
Very Thing That Makes Me Rich"), Little Willie John ("I'm Shaking”), AC/DC ("I'm a Rocker"), and Sam Cooke ("Havin' a Party"). While growing up in Italy, brothers Marco and Alessandro Cinelli became immersed in American blues and rock, and after studying at a prestigious Italian music school and honing their skills in France and the Netherlands, they reunited in London in 2017 and together with Tom Julian-Jones (a London native) and Stephen Giry (from France), formed THE CINELLI BROTHERS.

The band’s new album has gotten glowing reviews:
Review of ALMOST EXACTLY in Bluestown Music, March 2024: “And now we have Almost Exactly, a brand new album filled to the max with vintage
stuff: the best and most versatile retro bluesy rock’n roll, spiced with funk, soul and everything else that makes The Cinelli Brothers one of the hottest tickets in blues land. Go see and experience them live, but don’t you dare miss this album.”

Marco Cinelli, talking about the band’s songwriting process to Rolling Stone (FR), May, 2024:
“When we compose a piece, we don’t think about a particular style. We start with a riff, a rhythm, a text, a melody, the possibilities are multiple. In fact, we seek to compose what comes to us, and not necessarily remain confined to traditional blues.”

3songsbonn reviewing THE CINELLI BROTHERS’ March 2024 performance at Rockpalast Crossroads Festival in Bonn, Germany:
“. . this band is going to be different, and pleasingly so . . . [and] when the band do go down a pure Blues path they do it with passion . . . the music is so damn good! To cut a long story short – I loved these guys. There are a lot of bands out there keeping the Blues alive, for which I am grateful. But not so many who are taking it in a new direction. . . Alessandro Cinelli described the Band’s aim at every concert was to persuade each and every audience member to ‘Leave your problems behind and have a good time.’ Mission accomplished.”

Review of ALMOST EXACTLY in The Rocking Magpie, April 2024:
“The Exciting New Sound of Soulful British R&B!” “Industrial strength drums, a diesel powered bass, growling guitar, and demonic
harmonica with a powerful melody and chorus – what’s not to like? It’s patently obvious that these cats are an R&B band of the highest order, but with
songs like the slow and sleazy Hammond driven “Nobody’s Fool” and the dark “Making It Through The Night in their cannon of work, they could easily fit into an Alt. Country bill without changing a note; such is their dexterity and fluidity with their songs. There’s something ‘special’ here . . .
What I like best here is the use of melody in the creation of the songs and especially the hooks provided by Marco Cinelli’s heart busting playing on the Hammond . . . or the judicious lung busting Harmonica playing by Tom JJ throughout the album. While there are no direct comparisons that I can think of, but I’m guessing that the music the players were listening to on the way to and from the studio included tracks by the early Rolling Stones, Little Feat, Van Morrison, Bad Company and an assortment of Stax and Atlantic compilations . . . It's probably because The Cinelli Brothers aren’t trying to be anyone else that I’ve fallen head over heels for this album . . .”
