SARAH LEVECQUE BAND

With Special Guest Luke Curran

The Fallout Shelter - 61 Endicott Street, Norwood, MA, 02062

Sarah Levecque Band -
There really is no comparable artist in the New England region quite like Sarah Levecque. Her voice is classic, vintage, unique...reminiscent of a Lucinda Williams, Sheryl Crowe, Rosanne Cash vibe. Her songwriting can rival any songwriter...anywhere! She's got a blue collar, working woman's stage presence that fits perfectly with her vocal style, guitar chops and songwriting prowess. Sarah Levecque is a gifted songwriter, guitarist who moves easily between the sturdy roots of American music. Influenced in equal parts by early blues, country, folk, and rock music. If you could "A I" the perfect alt-country-roots-rock frontwoman, Sarah Levecque would be the end result. She's one of our favorite artists to perform at the Fallout Shelter and her band is outstanding featuring Peter Zarkadas on guitar, Johnny Sciascia on upright bass and the great Marco Giovino on drums.

"Her musical style could easily be categorized as Americana or roots music. But, whatever the genre, her voice and songwriting approach will stop you in your tracks. She's got this smoky, ethereal delivery that makes you hang on to every word. Sarah Levecque is an introspective artist who writes from the heart and puts a lot of emotional weight into her songs. Perhaps her greatest gift is her ability to clearly articulate the human experience and share her passion, vulnerability, and strength with the listener." -Geoff Wilbur's Music Blog

Luke Curran -

Another "GEM" of a find at The Fallout Shelter Open Mic Night is Norwood resident Luke Curran. He wasn't a minute into his performance when ALL of us on the staff at The Fallout Shelter were impressed by his voice, his songwriting and his incredible guitar skill. With roots in Northern Michigan and the Gulf Coast of Florida, Luke Curran delivers a combination of Midwestern angst and southern musical tradition in his songwriting and multi-instrumental performances. Luke Curran's music draws inspiration from across several genres including bluegrass, Southern Gothic, folk-pop, and Western, influenced by artists like Jason Isbell, Paul Simon, Tony Rice, and Tyler Childers.
