THE SUSAN CATTANEO BAND - ALL THE WOMEN I LOVE
The Music of Bonnie Raitt, Linda Ronstadt, Emmylou Harris
And More!
The Fallout Shelter - 61 Endicott Street, Norwood, MA, 02062
Award-winning singer/songwriter Susan Cattaneo makes a triumphant return to The Fallout Shelter to kick off our Fall Fundraiser with a celebration of the female artists who influenced generations of other women to take center stage. Classic songs from the legendary songbooks of Bonnie Raitt, Linda Ronstadt, and Emmylou Harris and more. With an all-star band featuring some of Boston’s most beloved musicians: Peter Moore on keys, Andy Santospago on guitar, Joe McMahon on bass and Marco Giovino on drums.
“Sensational is barely the word to cover Susan Cattaneo’s show at the Regent Theatre last night. She called it a tribute to “All the Women I Love,” most notably Linda Ronstadt, Bonnie Raitt and Emmylou Harris. It was a labor of love — and an absolutely captivating trip through some of the most important song books of our times. Susan had the voice to invest nearly every tune with just the right color and spirit, while also touching upon classics by Carly Simon, Carole King, Joni Mitchell and Christine McVie. She was funny when need be, serious as well, and her Boston-based band was impeccable. This show is so good that it could tour theaters nationally, and I can hardly wait for Cattaneo to do it again.”

Susan Cattaneo knows her way around a song and has been a staple of the Boston music scene, as a performer artist and sought after co-writer. Aside from releasing six albums of her own, her songs have been recorded by other artists regionally and nationally including local music heroes Dennis Brennan, Mark Erelli, Dinty Child, Jenee Halstead and Carla Ryder.
She has toured extensively in the US and in Europe. Her latest album, All is Quiet, an acoustic tour de force recorded remotely during the pandemic with acclaimed guitarists Duke Levine (Bonnie Raitt, Peter Wolf, Mary Chapin Carpenter) and Kevin Barry (Roseanne Cash, Mark Cohn, Jackson Browne) charted at #2 and was a top 25 Album of 2022 on the FAI Folk Radio chart. Her 2016 album The Hammer and The Heart, a double album featuring collaborations with 41 musicians, charted #1 on the Billboard Heatseekers chart and yielded a folk radio #1 single and top 10 album.
She is a five time nominee at the Boston Music Awards, including Americana Artist of the Year, Songwriter of the Year as a solo artist and Best Folk Album of the Year as a member of the duo Honest Mechanik. Cattaneo has also been nominated for several Independent Music Awards, including Producer of the Year, Song of the Year and Album of the Year. She was a three-time finalist at the prestigious New Folk contest at the Kerrville Folk Festival and was the winner of the CT Folk Festival.
In addition to her career as an artist, Susan is a sought-after songwriting educator: she taught for 20 years at Berklee College of Music and has taught at the national and various regional Folk Alliance conferences, and at songwriting camps in the US and Europe.
