THE 2026 WINTER BLUES FESTIVAL

Our fifth year hosting the WINTER BLUES FESTIVAL and This year features some of our house favorites along with the blistering blues guitarist Kevin Burt.

John Németh needs no introduction to The Fallout Shelter as this will be his 6th appearance for The Extended Play Sessions including 2022 when he finished his tour in Norwood and released that show as a Grammy Nominated album "LIVE FROM THE FALLOUT SHELTER. One of the best vocalists working today, John Németh has received a multitude of nominations for Blues Blast and Blues Music Awards, with four consecutive BMA nominations for the B.B King Entertainer Of The Year Award. His live shows highlight his dynamic stage presence, super-tight band, and a wealth of original songs that range from down-home blues to fervent ballads.

Kevin Burt is a serious songwriter who knows how to craft music to fit his personality, and no one delivers this brand of music better than he does. Darrell Nulisch is one of the region...and, frankly, the country's best "blue-eyed" soul and blues voices. He was born and raised in Dallas, TX listening to the sounds of Otis Redding and Al Green which obviously rubbed off on him. He was a founding member of Anson Funderberg and The Rockets which became the precursor to the explosion of Texas Blues with the Fabulous Thunderbirds, Stevie Ray Vaughan etc... Nulisch went North to New England and landed the gig as vocalist for Ronnie Earl and The Broadcasters and then as vocalist for the legendary James Cotton. Oh, and did I mention Darrell Nulisch is one BADASS harmonica player?

Willie J Laws is a Texas guitar “gun slinger”, vocalist and song writer following in the footsteps of T-Bone Walker, Lightning Hopkins, Albert King and many others. This music is the kind of real Texas soul, all mixed up with classic R&B, country, blues/funk that grows from the Texas soil. Willie has performed nationally and internationally, including 2 tours of Russia at the invite of the US Consulate in St Petersburg.

Once the house band at The House of Blues/Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas and Margeritaville in New Orleans. Winners of the Mass Blues Society Challenge 2011, Semi-finalists at the International Blues Competition 2012 and Beale St Kings Awards. A two time nominee for New England Music Award - Best Blues Act 2015 and 2016, 2015 Nominee for Boston Music Award - Best Blues Act 2015. Come see what many are calling the "Real Deal".

HOUSE BAND THE WICKED LO-DOWN  are no strangers to the Fallout Shelter having sold out every one of their appearances. They're the "house band" for our annual Winter Blues Festival and they've headlined their own shows here as well. The Lo-Down is fronted by one of the most respected and heralded singers and harp masters, Mr. Nick David. Their lead guitarist is the brilliant Paul Size who spreads the wealth to co guitar ace Jeff Berg. Brad Hallen and Nick Toscano provide one of the tightest and powerhouse rhythm sections you'll see anywhere! This is electrifying high energy blues with rock and soul overtones guaranteed to leave a mark!

The Fallout Shelter is an all ages performance venue welcoming worldwide, world class music in an intimate setting. Our studio audience attends to watch the creation and production of the music television series The Extended Play Sessions. The Fallout Shelter events are immersive experiences for both audience and performers alike...a live music experience like no other. We are fully ADA compliant and have wheelchair access. We have a wide selection of beer and wine for your adult beverage pleasures and each show comes with a free commemorative event poster. Our doors open at 6PM. Seating is General Admission.
