ALICE WALLACE
One Of The Great Voices In American Roots Music Today!
The Fallout Shelter - 61 Endicott Street, Norwood, MA, 02062
We haven't seen Alice Wallace in close to a decade at The Fallout Shelter but anyone who was at that show in 2017 remembers it well. Her voice is so packed with power and range that it's almost impossible to forget it once you've experienced it!

"Perhaps if there was a moment during that performance at The Extended Play Sessions that brought it all together for me it would be this one...'Echo Canyon' rests between the beautiful waving melody of a waltz and the dark vividness of a high plains dirge. Alice Wallace has that rare ability to make you hear cold, wind, darkness...distance. Her voice is so powerful it transcends the senses. Her eyes never leave the audience and her joy in knowing the audience can't take their eyes away from her and the haunting story she's sharing is infectious. Truly a gifted performer to be able to stand alone with a guitar and gift the room with an insatiable appetite for music." - Bill Hurley
There's a reason she's been called "one of the best singers out there at the moment" by Saving Country Music. Nashville Americana artist Alice Wallace does not hide behind the microphone but uses it to amplify everything inside her champing to get out.
Wallace moved to Nashville six years ago after more than a decade in southern California, and released her first Nashville-produced solo record Here I Am in June 2024 to wide praise. It’s a title that hints at her deeply personal, confessional songwriting style, one that invites the listener to gaze at her beating heart as each intimate secret pours out, propelled by a powerful, expressive delivery that marks her as one of the true vocal talents of her generation.
Wallace grew up in a musical family, where voices like Linda Ronstadt, Emmylou Harris and Dolly Parton were on heavy rotation on the family turntable and were huge influences on her as a budding singer and songwriter. Nowadays, Wallace tours full-time, bringing her personal songs and soaring vocals to venues across the country. She’s also one of the few modern singer/songwriters keeping the art of the country yodel alive.
Wallace was named 2017 Female Vocalist of the Year by the California Country Awards, and previously released four solo albums. 2019’s Into the Blue, earned recognition from Rolling Stone Country with the title track being named one of the Best Americana Songs to Hear Now. This was followed by Lucky Break via Side Pony, a duo project with friend Caitlin Cannon that took the pair across the United States and Europe.
Cuttingly self-exploring, delivered with emotionality, and with just the right pop Americana sensibilities, Here I Am is Alice Wallace’s most expansive album yet. For fans of songwriters who turn personal heartbreak into musical gold and for anyone who loves a powerful, full-ranged, expressive voice, Alice Wallace is not to be missed.
