THE LUKE CURRAN BAND
With Special Guests CLAY PIGEONS
The Fallout Shelter - 61 Endicott Street, Norwood, MA, 02062
Luke Curran is one of those anomaly findings from a random Open Mic Night. He was a few bars into his first song and it was pretty well established he was going to be a returning entity to the Fallout Shelter. If you weren't blown away by his voice, you were blown away by his insanely good guitar skills...and if it wasn't those two things it was his incredible songwriting. Luke Curran has all the mechanisms in place to cement superstar status. His band is made up of our own Connor Quigley on lead guitar and our bartender Zac Stein on drums. Based in the Boston area but with roots in Northern Michigan and the Gulf Coast of Florida, Luke Curran delivers a combination of midwestern angst and southern musical tradition in his songwriting and multi-instrumental performances. His music and lyrics draw inspiration from bluegrass, folk, and rock, influenced by artists like Jason Isbell, Tyler Childers, Tony Rice, and John Prine. Also joining Luke, Connor and Zac are two additional brilliant musicians. Hazel Royer and Moriah Ozberkmen.
Hazel Royer
Hazel Royer is a Boston based upright bassist, guitarist, and singer. She primarially plays Folk, Old-Time, and Bluegrass music. Hazel is currently a member of the acclaimed bluegrass group Big Richard. She grew up playing folk and bluegrass music in the Boston music scene with her father, Eric Royer.
Moriah Ozberkmen
Moriah was born and raised in Salt Lake City, UT. Now living in Boston, MA she is a multi-instrumentalist who plays mandolin, fiddle, octave mandolin, guitar and banjo. Moriah is a graduate of the Berklee College of Music. She loves collaborating musically and has always gravitated towards the bluegrass/folk scene. She is passionate about teaching, jamming, recording and volunteering for music related non-profits.
Special guest opener for this show is the roots/bluegrass ensemble Clay Pigeons.

Clay Pigeons is a new band, but its members have navigated the waters of the New England music scene for many years. The band consists of Conor Hennessy (Vocals, Guitar), Paul Simion (Fiddle, Accordion, Vocals), Luke Hanlin (Mandolin, Vocals) Ryan Fess (Guitar, Vocals), James Cappelletti (Banjo, Vocals), Joe Cappelletti (Bass Fiddle, Vocals). Clay Pigeons’ folk music tells the authentic and irreverent stories of the places and people of coastal Massachusetts and Rhode Island. The group’s vibrant song writing, harmony work, and rollicking style bring a pinch of New England saltiness and a boatload of fun to folk, bluegrass, ragtime, and Americana.
